I took my '78 SS El Camino to Liebsack & Son Auto Services in Gardena to have it smogged and to get some repair work done. Steve, Rachel, and the whole team are very accommodating. They do a great job communicating and telling you straight up what the issue is, and they kept me in the loop on progress through every step, which I really appreciated. They were upfront about costs and asked before doing any work, and they were not pushy about extra work like some other auto shops these days. Nothing like coming in for a smog check and having the mechanic try to sell you on five other things that are supposedly wrong. This team is upfront and will work with you on what's a must do now versus what can be held off for later. I brought my car in on a tow truck and they had a spot ready when we got there, and helped guide the driver right where it needed to go. They made quick work of the diagnostic and repair work, and again were 100% upfront on what was going on and what it would cost me. These days it's hard to find a shop willing to work on classic cars. A lot of mechanics now just want to plug in a cable and let a computer tell them what to fix. I also love that this is a generational, family-run shop. You don't see that much anymore, and I like supporting a local business like this. I'll admit I'm still learning the quirks of my classic car, and the team has been genuinely supportive about teaching me things along the way. I had an experience at another mechanic when I first inherited the car where the owner and his team gave me this shaming impression, like I was supposed to know everything my grandfather knew about it. It was intimidating, and it's exactly why I appreciate Liebsack & Son. I never got any of that here. On top of everything, they're great with my grandmother when she comes in for her smog check. She's had nothing but high praise for how they treat her. I'll be bringing all my cars here going forward for smog checks and repair work. They make you feel like family and genuinely care about your time and your property. Thank you again to Steve, Rachel, and the whole team.

I got my car registration in the mail and paid for my the registration online. I didn't realize i needed a smog check until I got another letter from the DMV thankingnme for my payment and letting me know they havent received the smog check! I called Liebsack a day ahead to see if they could take me in since I wasn't able to schedule through their online system. Steve said to come in at 7am and he'll do my smog check first thing in the morning. I got there at 7am sharp to find them opening up shop and letting me in. The smog check was quick and easy! Their service was top notch and even backed in my car to make it easy for me to leave their place. It was nice to see that they have someone up front to take calls and process payments. It reminds me of my old school family owned mechanic in SGV. I will definitely come back for auto repairs since they seem to have a good number of people driving in for auto service and to support a small family owned businesses in the local area.

We were having problems with our engine start button. Rachel and her crew were able to replace the part with an actual Honda part plus change out the air filter and cabin filter plus some other minor issues. Everyone was polite and helpful.Their price was reasonable . We will be bringing our car here in the future for any other issues.

I would have to say AI could never replicate the genuine professionalism and thoughtfulness that your company displayed. There are solutions to any issue you may have when it comes to your vehicle. Great turnaround time. And spot on analysis. Will continue to reach out when issues arise with my vehicle

They’re friendly and reasonable. They explain everything that needs to be done well enough that a layman like me can understand. Brought my wife’s car in because the Air conditioning wasn’t cooling the back seats well enough for our 1 year old, they found a clogged filter and replaced it. Clean and easy, and at a fair price.
